he's less than 2 lb. but i gave him the dosage for 2-5 lb. kittens b/c that is the lowest they had. it was 1/4 teaspoon but he didn't even get it all down so it was actually less than 1/4 teaspoon. he is definately over 6 weeks though.

TY for all the advice (not to the assholes though). I was only being paranoid and the kitten is just fine.

If it's just that, then you probably don't need to worry at all. Make sure that he has plenty of food and water. If the kitten starts to act weird (wobbly, really tired) then take him to the, but I'm sure he'll be fine.

A smarter person would have read on where it says not recommended for kittens under 6 weeks of age or less than 2 lbs. Suggest speaking to your local vet. Don't be cheap call the vet.

You should be able to call your vet and get info over the phone. My cat has eaten bits of flowers he shouldn't have and has been given liquid antibiotics over 3 weeks old (you're supposed to toss them after 10 days I think). Both occasions were accidents (flowers were way up and the cat knocked over furniture to get to them, bf gave the cat the old bottle of antibiotics without knowing I had meant to throw it out). Both times I called my vet in a panic. The vet staff were very helpful and were able to give me information on how serious this was and what to watch for in terms of signs that the cat needed to come in. So please call the vet, explain what happened, and ask them (if they don't offer the info) whether or not you should bring the kitten in and what to watch for over the next hours or days.

Call a vet and tell them what happened. Or check the bottle it may have a contact number you can call. Odds are, he will be just fine, but make that call to make sure. There really is very little you can do at this point, since it's already down him. If you feel you want to make him throw up, you can add just a little peroxide to his drinking water and that will make him throw up. But I don't think I would do that, until I have consulted a vet.

Just call a nearby vets office and quickly explain the situation and they should be able to give you some really good advice. You don't have to go there, just ask them what to do. The vet is a lot better source for information then the internet.

You are talking about an overdose! If you don't have common sense enough to take your kitty back to the vet then you don't have enough common sense to take care of a pet.
