Isn't it hilarious how some radical Mexican groups swear that when the day is done, the Southwest U.S. will again belong to Mexico. I don't care how many Mexicans immigrate to that area, it's too damned valuable to just give up to a country that has already mismanaged itself to hell. Let's examine the "hot properties" that the U.S. will never part with:
California:
1. Hollywood and the multi-billion dollar entertainment industry.
2. Disneyland -- an American icon
3. U.S. Naval, Marine and Coast Guard bases in San Diego (home port of the U.S.S. Nimitz and U.S.S. Ronald Reagan
4. San Francisco --Silicon Valley

Nevada:
1. A multi-billion dollar gaming industry in Las Vegas
2. Hoover Dam
3. Nellis Air Range (super-secret military installation also known as Area 51)

....... not to mention oil fields in texas, high-rise buildings and lucrative sports teams like the L.A. Lakers, Dallas Cowboys and so forth. Face it, this land is too valuable to just give back to Mexico.

And rest assured, if there is some sort of insurrection from within, the U.S. will have no problem declaring Martial Law and rounding up every illegal Mexican and putting them in detention camps as they await deportation.

People who don't live in border states will think your statement is rediculous, but I know it is not.
I suppose the French will be here soon to take back Louisiana too, and the Russians, Alaska.
I do believe though that the Bush administration wants to make Mexico, US and Canada as one country. Check out spp.gov and I think you will see what I am talking about.
