Are you sure taarav is the correct spelling.
I went to a few genealogy sites and didn't not find that name anywhere. These are sites that have billions of names. Sorry.

the double a makes it seem dutch or german, but the v ending seems like russia.
in any case, it doesn't translate into german, dutch, french, italian or portugese.

i believe it is an indian name, it's a guy's name isnt it? from sanskrit... a north indian name most probably...
