I have tickets to a concert in a few weeks and trying to decide how I should ask a guy to go with me.......I might ask my ex who is in town and wants to see me while he is here.....I might ask some new guys I met.....I just don't know.....I am 25 and kinda new and unsure about this whole dating thing!
How should I go about finding a date without looking to desperate and not ending up with someone just wanting ot get laid?

this is tough baby girl. depends on the concert date, you might want to go with a girl friend. who knows you might find interesting guys there. but don't go with your ex or new guy, i don't think they deserve to get a free concert.

Ask the person who you think will most enjoy the concert. It is no fun to go out on a date who is not into the artist or group. Also, if you do not plan reconcile with your ex..maybe you shouldn't take him...he might get the wrong ideas unless you both know you will be only friends from now on. Other than that, just limit yourself to a couple of drinks so you won't do something you will regret. Have fun.

What if you just asked one of the guys you are interested in out for a dinner and movie or something like that without mentioning the concert. Go on a date with each of them before hand. The one you feel more comfortable with, ask him a few days after you've dated the other guys. That way you get to know them a bit more, and know they wont go out with you to use you for the free concert tickets. Best of luck to ya.

Whats wrong with getting laid? Now is not the best time to "start" a new relationship. Just go and have fun and enjoy. Invite a female friend cause the guys will want a good lay after the music ends and your blonde hair is lookin so good.

Well I think you should not date the ex, since he is the ex for some reason. It would be best to take a new friend start over, maybe meet a new person, at like the local coffee house or library. Then you have a couple of weeks to figure out if he is date material.

Good Luck.

LOL, you're asking an age old question. I'd say go with the new guy. Nothing wrong with that. But then before you go, make sure that he understands that sex will NOT be involved. Of course you can change your mind anytime you want. As long as you tell him before, you shouldn't have any problems. Best of luck and have a great time at the concert.

well, here is a question for you, are you going to the concert to find love or fun. If you are finding love, just go to the movie and dinner. But concert cost more, so find a good friend to go with. You ex can be a good friend, but a new guy can go to. But you have to decide, love or fun.

I wouldn't go for the ex unless you know he still has feelings for you and you might get back together. See if you can just go with a friend, it doesn't need to be a date. Having a deadline for choosing a guy isn't really the best way to go about it.

Well, your ex is your ex for a reason, so he is out. Get to know one of the other guys you mentioned, and ask one of them. They will be a better date, and if you don't want a one-night stand, make that clear from the outset. Go, and have a good time....the future looks bright with the guy you're going to pick!

You go to bars or maybe somewhere you socialize? Tell the bartender or someone who happens to work at that place that you have tickets to a concert and ask a favor from them if they could get the word around.
