Kids were at their Dad's home when he fought with his 15 year old son. My kids do not want to go back, CPS screened it but declined to investigate. Now What?

I thought they had to investigate any report! ???

Maybe the fact that you are the mother reporting against your ex???

Can you have someone else make the report if they are aware of the situation also?

I would continue reporting as well, until somehting is done, and even speak to a supervisor. And you may not know, they do not give anonymous reports much weight. This is what I was told by an acquaintance who works for the District Attorney in child abuse cases.

Also, contact your attorney you used in your custody case. If you do not feel safe sending your hcild into that environment, I wouldnt if I were you. But you also dont want to get in any trouble with the courts over denying him his visitation, so your lawyer should take care of that for you.

Maybe you just are looking for a reason to keep the kids from their dad. I am sure you havent been perfect. Are you kind of feeding fuel to the fire? A lot of moms do that just to be mean to the dads.

Nothing you can do. They need proof of things such as bruises, etc... Think about it, if they spent all their time on a teenager and parent fighting then they wouldn't have time to take care of the kids out there that are really being abused.

Keep bugging them. Social worker's aren't exactly the most dilligent workers on the planet. Sometimes they're too busy and bogged down with other more serious problems, or they just don't care. Either way, you need to push, and force them to put you to higher-ups if necessary.
