Because, if you don't stay objective, you may loose some important information about something because you were closed off to the idea. You need to hear ALL the data you can and then form an opinion or decision based on that, not the first comment or information you got. It helps you stay objective and informed. Good question!!

This is a very general question for which a full answer may require more info.

However, in general, impartiality invites participation.

In sports, without impartial judging or officiating, teams would not take part in their contests and expect fair treatment. In employment, candidates would feel they need not apply if it were presumed the job would go to someone pre-selected. In school, students lose incentive to learn if they felt they received less attention than other students.

Depends on what you are impartial about .... and in what situation ... it won't work all the time .... I'm very partial to DAD and HIS ways ... I'm very impartial where other doctrines may try to interfere with that...
