I'm sick of all the God bashing on here, every one seems to want to blame God for things that go wrong, have you ever looked to yourself for the reasons?

Whether or not people believe in God is their choice, but why do people have to bash God, surely if they are doing this,an eliment of them must believe, because you can't bash a none entity..... can you?

There are a lot of answers on here telling me it's a believers job to prove he does exist....... If you read the question properly you'll see that's not the point being made. Yes I believe in God, ( more so the wrath of God). I just don't understand why people have to argue ( prove or dis-prove ) a faith that is personal to them.

OK I'll use your question to prove God don't exist.
Maybe things go wrong because there is no God.
Are you satisfied now, No one is blaming God now.
Oh try this one.
Maybe If EVERY one believed there is no God that we would find answers within ourselves to make the world better, instead of waiting or hoping God will do it for us.

There's no way anyone can prove God doesn't exit... You might want to read Job and that will give you some inspiration. In other words, we humans aren't able to really do much of anything when it comes to what God can do, even though they keep trying (like cloning) they'll never be able to give a soul that was given to each one of us. We can't make it rain, snow or make the wind blow, nor could we ever even begin to fill the oceans with the water it needs or make air so that we can breath. If we stop and look at all the wonders God gave us that he made with such preciseness and care, so that we can survive and enjoy it can only be from God.
Often though we act as though it's no big deal...

In the past year I’ve seen a lot of religious imbeciles and hypocrites, and the thought of spending eternity with them would be horrific. On top of that, I’ve spent quite a bit of time recently contemplating Christianity. For one thing, why would God be male? Women give birth and thus make more sense as an ultimate creator. Being male also entails having male sex organs; why would God need genitals if He’s the only god and, being all-powerful, He can presumably make things without help (and is thus asexual). The only reason the Bible would need to say God is male would be to make women second-class. Basing a religion on misogyny is definitely not something I can get behind.
For another thing, there’s the whole question of heaven and hell. Basing someone’s status for the rest of time on maybe 80 years on Earth does not sound like the supposedly all-knowing, all-powerful, loving god Christians claim Him to be. If He knows everything, then He knows whether a person deserves eternal punishment or eternal happiness before they are born. And if He knows a person’s eternal status before their creation, then He creates people to burn in hell, which means He is not a caring, loving god. And if He does not know how badly a person will ‘sin’ before they draw their first breath, then He is not all-knowing. Basing someone’s afterlife on their choices in life means people actually have a choice, which means He is not all-powerful. And that means the Christian God is not a god at all, but the results of thousands of years of hypocrisy, cruelty, and the taint of human power struggles. Religion is a crutch for those terrified of death and responsibility – those who need to blame God for their own faults and mistakes (and thank Him occasionally to avoid accusations of hypocrisy) and those who think a half-century of adulthood isn’t nearly enough time to accomplish their goals, that infinity sounds like a much better work schedule. Christianity also says that daughters can be sold into slavery, sons can be cursed for laughing at their drunk, naked fathers, and children in general can be killed for insolence. It also says that Jesus, who supposedly came from the Middle East, was white.
Based on my own reasoning (which my parents and evolution gave me), I have come to realize that there is no god. I have also realized that this is not a problem because I do not fear death – I am always prepared and early for things, so I can accomplish plenty of things in my time on Earth – and I do my best to claim responsibility for my failures and my successes. Being atheist does not devalue my life, nor does it make me a bad person. I realize that I’m being a bit unfair in dismissing all religions simply because Christianity is flawed, but most religions have had a jihad of some sort and, even if they were simply the victims, that’s something I’d prefer not to get tangled up in.

Prove he does...

I happen to believe in Her and Him, but just for the sake of arguement...

I don't blame Deity for things that go wrong in my life, I believe in Karma. What goes around comes around. My hubby on the other hand would be the one asking you to prove He exists. He happens to think because of all the bad things happening to people who don't deserve it, there is no God. He lost his faith when he lost his nephew. I've tried to get him to see all the miracles he has but he thinks he did it on his own, with no outside help from a higher power.

People have a right to their opinions. Might not mesh well with your own, but the least we ALL could do is not berate and "bash" those that feel a certain way about touchy subjects such as God and religion.

I can't prove that 'god' doesn't exist just like you can't prove to me that 'god' does exist.

We can say that it is the fault of a person if he/she attacks another person but humans cannot be blamed for things like natural disasters (landslides, earthquakes, tsunamis etc) I think when most people blame 'god' for something it's because of a natural disaster. I also think that they are justified. If they believe that 'god' controls all then of course they are going to get angry, confused and upset and blame their 'god' for what happened.

Not everyone has to place a blame, some things just....happen.

What does this question have to do with proving the existence of 'god'?

Just accept that some people don't think the same way as you and get on with your life.

has god done anything for you? Do you have a spiritual event in your life that proves that hes real. I could have a week long conversation with you, but it's not really worth it. I only see the belief of god as a weakness to those who are suffering from a loss in there life or something bad happened to them, it's just something to believe in, thinking that there is someone out there that could help. my opinion: believe is for the weak. when lightning strikes me for not believing, that will be the day I join the rest of you. One last reason: My best friends sister of the age 18 died in a car accident. I'm pretty sure there wasnt anyone there for her. 7/4/86-8/7/04

Those who blame God are took the Bible seriously at some point and were disappointed when things didn't turn out the right way. Also, people are bashing God because they don't repsect other people's beliefs. Certain public figures have ruined it. People should respect everyone's religion no matter what but when I senator or governor comes out and condemns a man who was beaten to death because he was gay and not the people who did the beating it's hard to respect.

Believe really that your present existence is a myth and prove that your father's great grand father never really existed. Or if possible draw God out of any machine that you have designed and created for any defined purpose just as a generator of electricity , a fridge or an electical chair to make condemed persons to sit in receive the punishment they deserved.

there is a power struggle between the existence of God. How can u prove that? Let me ask you, can you prove it?
there are some things that are undetermined and some that cant be explain. Is there such thing as a miracle? it is like asking that kind of question?
can you see ghosts? can you see if the boogeyman exists?
people have their opinions and you have yours, people think differently and you should know that.
You better think for yourself because this kind of subject will never get answered.

People blame God for their problems because they believe there life here is somehow one that is important and that they should be taken care of. While we are in the situation we are in with all the bad things happening to show us once and for all that we can't make it without Him.

As far as the whole question on whether he does or does not exist is a loaded question on my opinion, it is unfair to the atheists. They are required to explain everything with fact, while we believers are allowed to take things on faith, we do not have to have concrete evidence to make our argument work. Sounds unfair, like I said, I think it is.

Prove god DOES exist...I mean I'm no athiest and I do believe in a higher power, but I have no proof of it. That's why it's called faith. People who say they can prove god exists or that their religion is right are completely missing the point.
