About a week ago, my kitten started getting really bad diarrhea. It has been going on the whole time, and just today she threw up on the floor. What do you think is wrong?

it's a cat, cats are weak.....change in diet can cause the trots, or an unpleasant environment may be the cause for such behavior....if all else fails....put it down.....there's thousands of cats waiting to be saved from the needle.

What do you feed your kitten? Have you changed his/her diet at all? A sudden change in food will promote indigestion and diarrhea. Diarrhea in a kitten (or any young animal for that matter) can be fatal...bring him/her to a vet. If you have changed his/her food, then I suggest you buy a bag of it's 'old food' and do the change gradually, slowly mixing a little of the new food into the old over about a week or two. If you have given him/her a treat he/she has never had before, don't give any more to the kitten and bring what's left to the vet so he/she can determine if it's the cause. If nothing has changed in her diet, then I suggest you take her to your vet immediately. It may just be an allergic reaction to the food she's eating, but it could also mean a fatal disease, the sooner you get it looked after the better for you and your pet.

Could be many, many things - worms, girardia, coxcidia, all which require medicines from the vet to treat. Kittens do not have the body weight to support dirreah for extended periods of time, and by now, she is also dehydrated. In short, if you don't get this stoped your kitten will slowly die. None of the above things I mentioned are actually death dealing to the kitten, but ignoring it and allowing this to continue on with out treatment will bring about her death. Go see the vet, get a fecal sample and they will be able to tell you what is going on.

I'm not sure but I would get her to the vet if she was mine.
I have a similar problem with 3 kittens a year back. my vet told me to make sure & feed them dry Kitten Food. Do not give them milk unless it is for kittens.
I did that & it helped all three of them.

You need to take her to the vet ASAP! She will be super dehydrated if she has had diarrhea for that long. Kittens are so small and it doesn't take much to seriously hurt them.

It could be many things from parasites to feline distemper. I would have her examined by your vet. Kittens can take a turn for the worse very quickly and you do not want her to dehydrate.

You need to get that kitty to the vet. There could be something wrong with her digestive system. Or it could be the food you are feeding her. The vet will be able to help you.

Good luck!
