I've been searching for the exact same thing. "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" is very pretty.

There are a lot of really pretty classical songs but since you have a string quartet playing you could also pick something a little more different (it will still sound traditional due to the quartet). I walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of that song from Cinderella, A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes - it ended up sounding like a really light, pretty song.

This has a lot of suggestions. In fact the whole site is great. Remember just because it has lyrics does not mean it isn't beautiful as an instrumental.

Con Te Partiro (normally sung by Andre Boceli) is beautiful played by a string quartet. I found a version of it on a CD and I played it during the prelude music. I loved it.

My wedding march was "The Highland Cathedral" It's beautiful, traditional sounding, it's FABULOUS on a violin and it's not the wedding march. Believe me I hear you on that one. I think it's the most hideous song to ever disgrace weddings.

Dreamer by Ozzy Osborne

Ozzy and his wife Sharon had that playing when they renewed their vows so there might be an arrangement somewhere.
