can someone tell me about other religions besides Christianity/Islam/Hinduism/Buddhism?

I guess I'm wanting to know from a beleivers standpoint, not a textbook description

Wiccan- it is a belief that many witches use. But it is more of a way of life than a religion. In this religion the main rule is harm no one. And you can believe in whoever you want. If you want to believe in god believe in him, if you don't well that's fine too. It is a nature religion, their holidays are based on the different seasons and phases of the moon. And October 31st is the end of their year. It also involves magic. Everything is very precise. You can do all of this alone or in a group that has a coven leader. They also believe that a coven leader (I think it is called the high preistess or something like that) is not an interpreter. She is a guide. You are your own medium (which means no one will interpret what the divine says , it goes only to you). The holidays are yule-21 of dec, imbolg-2 of feb, oestara-21 of march, beltane-1 or may, litha- 21 of june, lammas- 1 of aug, madron- 21 of sep, and samhain- 31 of oct. This religion has a lot to do with herbs and looking out for nature.
A book I found really helpful was THE REAL WITCHES' HANDBOOK A COMPLETE INTRODUCTION TO THE CRAFT by Kate West
It has all the holidays and how they are celebrated. About how things are done, and what the belief is all about. It also has much more info than that. I hope you read it. Oh something I found really interesting, it has all the myths of the wiccan religion and the truth about it.

My husband and I practice a Celtic Reconstructionist religion. We worship and honor some of the deities that were worshiped in the Celtic areas in the Iron Age. We pray and give offering of food or drink at our altar every day and give praise through song and poetry. We have four yearly religious holidays. Two of our deities are associated with storms, one is associated with horses, one is associated with the hearth, and there are others. We look to archaeology, history, and mythology for inspiration. We also honor our ancestors with simple offerings and prayers. We give prayers and offerings to local land and water spirits. Although we try to incorporate as much as possible of the known elements of Iron Age worship, there are elements that simply would not work in todays modern world---and that is fine with us.

Our deities are not all-powerful. We do not believe that an all-powerful deity exists. Our deities are neither all positive nor all negative but a mixture of both just as we are a mixture. Tenrikyo. It is Japanese and has been around for some 120years. A young religion. Why I bring this one up is that the founder is a woman. I think it is the only religion at the moment where the there is a Goddess. Tenri is a place in Nara in Japan and Kyo means religion. They have churches in many parts of the world USA, UK, Brazil, China to name a few. Their way of praying is quite uniqe, using what might be called, 'hand dancing' also there is a stand-up one with movements. I studied this religion for a while. They welcome everybody. Like the Berreans, you will need to make a journey on your own and not rely on what others tell you.

I would offer a suggestion though -

As you walk through your studies and stumble upon religious belief on after another, try and see the ones that protray wrong teachings and then you can cross them off for need of further study.

The bible, God, Jesus never spoke of killing one another in war so that can chop a lot of work from your chore right there, including the Mormons that believe it;s OK to kill some bad people.
