yes my mom is ..........

allergy is the condition when your body "identifies" something as a "harmful" object and starts making antibodies against it ... this can happen with some food items too like mustard, eg, fish, chicken etc ...

if the allergy is not severe then ne can enjoy that food and take some anti-histamine ... otherwise (as in my mom's case) just avoid things you are allergic to ...

Pretty good answer by "sighspy" actually..nice job! Mustard allergy DOES exist (rarely) and is NOT one of the "top ten" food allergens by any means...more specifics as to exactly what happened would be needed for my definitive take on this in your case....
