I have used both. go with the advantage. i got it from the vet, got the dosage, then sent to one of the pet sites for it. comes out cheaper, especially if you have more than one pet. you do not need a prescription.

One of my dogs had a flea problem a couple of years ago, no matter what we did, so... I bought Skin So Soft bug repellent because the fleas and any mosquito's around LOVE ME! That stuff really works, I never got harassed by neither again. But I have put it on my pets if were going hiking or something, so mosquito's wouldn't bite.

I would not try it. I have never heard of that I would go to the vet and get a product that is designed for fleas. You never know what might hurt your dog or if he is allergic to it. If you do use the Avon product check with a vet to make sure it is safe.

I have heard of it working on Mosquitos but nothing about fleas. Maybe the oil in the product may keep the fleas off. Try it and let us know! :) Advantage works well.

Don't waste your money. Try it! It definetly works on mosquitos so I don't see why not fleas. I used it all my childhood and fleas do seem to be repelled. Again Try it!

I use to camp and fish regularly and always took my dobe with me, while fishing we used a 50/50 mix with water and sprayed us and the dobe and didn't have any problems with fleas or mosquito's. But the sos smell does get old after awhile.
