I bet you know many couples that have been dating for quite a long time (or maybe are married), right?

I suppose that at least once you've asked yourself: Are they still in love or they are together because they are used to each other, like a habit to have the same person next to you over a period of time.

So does love disapear on long-term relationships or it lasts forever?

love is a funny thing, when you are with the right person, love takes a form of its own. the trick is, having an open communication with each other. love is a total of many things. but most of all trust and communication. with out those two things it's kinda of hard for love to be a constant. however, part of love is.. being comfortable being you with the other person. this happens because there are no secrets just you, other half and LOVE... Its like fine wine, the older it gets the sweeter the taste.

Just because two people are together for a long time doesnt necessarily mean that its because of habit in a bad way. i have a good habit and its my husband....
Hope that answers the question for you.

No, it last forever.
It's the way you look across the room at each other, or the smell of their soap. The family you made together, the laughs you have together. The rough times you weathered together, and waking up with that person beside you every morning feeling extremely lucky to love someone who makes your heat skip when you see them at the end of the day

call me corny..I believe in love forever. We've been married for 12 years.

When you love someone you love them forever it might seem like habit but try separating them and they'll probably be miserable. I know people who let go of the one they love and regret it 20 years later! They wished they would've stayed with that person. Its normal for your relationship to change after you've been toguether a long time, you can't keep that initial passion and spark going forever we all get older. But true love is about sharing your life with someone no matter what happens. Even if they end up in a wheel chair, true love doesn't die.

If you truly love someone you do it without reason. My ex wife cheated on me, lied and betrayed our vows in the most vicious way imagineable. I love her and always will. However, I love her from afar now.

If you love someone because it's fun, then you are not loving them or in love with them ... it's a convienence like drive thru fast food, drive-thru banking, pizza delivery and dry cleaning pick-up services. Find someone that compells you to want to wake up everyday with the same thought: What can I do today to make this person happy? That is love.

I think love stays but changes. Which is not necessarily a bad thing, but we cant keep getting caught up in the idealistic romance thing. That kills love. Nothing wrong with being comfortable. Just do what you have to do.

Love changes over time but never "goes away" if you are with the right person

It truly depends on who you are with, some love does not dissappear, I see old couples all the time that still cuddle and hold hands, and others not so much.
