Moisture from the skin (sweat). Bacteria will accumulate under moist conditions and usually give a foul stench. Deodorants mask the smell, while anti-perspirants block the sweat glands. bacteria is found all over the skin, especially in the mouth. Mouth is a good example of foul smells (Bad breath). Remember there is good bacteria and bad bacteria.

It is the bacteria that makes it stink. Bacteria thrives in a warm and moist environment. Try keeping your armpit dry ( you could have a hanky to wipe your sweat)or try to use deodorants.

Bacterial feeding on the sweat causes the smell.

You can stop smelling so bad by stopping eating meat. Don't use anti-persperant - sweating is natural. Use a rock deodorant instead, which kills the smell-forming bacteria.

Sweat decomposes through the action of bacteria and that is where the smell comes from. Children's sweat for some reason almost never smells bad.

It depends on your chemistry and how much you sweat. I seldom have underarm odor even if I do not use deodorant. I cleanse and rinse well, sweat very little and I do not eat meat. I think all of those are factors that eliminate the odor.
