My house mate is about to move out, I will need someone to pay her half of the rent, so want to ask my boyfriend. I think he will say yes, although it is a big step for us both! He stays over every night and we are always together, I just dont know how to bring it up, I dont want it to look like I have been thinking about it!

Sorry that sounded wrong, I dont want him to move in because of the money, I want him to move in because I love his company. If he didn't move in I would need to find someone else to pay for my room mates side of the rent!

Wait until you are doing something together like watching T.V. or something like that then just say, "Hey you know my roommate is moving out right so what do you think about moving in here with me when she leaves?" Why wouldnt you want him to know you were thinking about it? just bring it up while you're together watching tv or soemthing and see how he reacts. If hes petrified, look for another roomate, if he seems casual or excited, go for it
