OMG! You need to eat three meals a day. Start with that, then each meal gradually build up what you eat. Start with just light breakfast, salad for lunch, homecooked meal for dinner, then eat more and more, pushing yourself without gorging. You need to just eat more and more regularly. A good thing for dinner would be spaguetti and meatballs. If you eat until you are full of spagetti every day (or other things) you will begin to gain weight. Don't do it too fast though (no McDonalds every meal) or you will hurt your health. The big thing is getting used to eating healthy, regular meals.
Good luck.

sometimes there is no easy way to gain weight. people tend to have what is called a "set point", or a weight that they will tend to stay at. in your case, 85 pounds may be a healthy weight that your body wants to be at. from personal experience, it is not always easy to gain weight. i am 5'4", and 95 lbs, and i can eat as much as i want and never gain a pound, in fact, sometimes i lose weight. just try eating more carbs, and exercise maybe, muscle weighs more than fat.

Quick wieght gain is not the solution. See your doctor and find out if you need to increase your weight. Build muscle, which wieghs more. Go to the gym and get on a plan to build muscle mass.

Eat protein and start anaerobic exercises like lifting weights. I'm not saying to bulk up your muscles. Just gain and tone some muscle weight.

There are some sites out there that are for parents of anorexic kids who want to 'trick' their kids into eating high calorie foods so they can put on weight a little more quickly.... and they offer recipes for high in calorie foods to make, like muffins and milkshakes, etc which will help put on the weight.

Dear Dadysgirl,
There are many energy bars and sport drink options. Combine these with a moderate exercise program and you should be able to put on some body mass...
I hope this helps,
Lonnie
