I have noticed on this forum that many people seem to have an out right hatred of God. Shouldn't we blame Satan/Lucifer if our lives are like crap? Aren't THEY (Satan and Lucifer are two different entities) the ones causing the evil in the world?

Okay let's take the first question. Many things can play a role in making humans whether Christians or not turn against God. Situations like losing a job or losing a loved one or not being happy within themselves can make people turn against God. Human beings are notorious to have their expectations in life and expect certain things to happen or not. If their expectations are not realistic for them, they tend to blame God for not doing what we want Him to do. God doesn't work that way. His will and our will are not the same. His timing and our timing is not the same. His wants and desires in our lives are not the same as ours. Humans are impatient creatures, and when we think we waited long enough, we end up saying to God, "okay God, I gave you this long to do something in my life, apparently you don't care about me so I don't want you in my life".

One thing that humans fail to understand is that God is not bound by time. He is not going to do anything in our lives until He sees fit. Humans are bound by their biological clock and the actual clock we use to tell time. God can not be bossed around. He is the ultimate boss and He does what He does when He does. All things work to the good of Him. We humans struggle with this a lot in our lives. We are unable to see the big picture. All we see is the here and now. We don't have the ability to see the future like God does. He knows what we go thru in our lives and He does care, even if we think He doesn't.

As for the part that you noticed on this forum that many people seem to have an outright hatred of God. I am not aware of that myself. I do know that humans have a different perspective of God. All humans have the rights to their opinions.

Should we blame Satan/Lucifer if our lives are like crap? It is a yes and no thing. Satan/Lucifer is two different names for the Devil. Satan is the author of lies and deceptions in this world. He creates many things and uses his followers to do his dirty work. Satan may whisper ideas and feelings in people. But people are born with choices. They can either choose to listen to Satan or listen to God. Bad people and Satan go hand in hand. So the combination of the two is to be blamed for the evil in the world today.

As long as you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and that He died on the cross for your sins. You will be okay. Just believe in Him to have faith in Him that He knows what He is doing in your life. Life on earth wasn't meant to be easy. But for those that believe in Jesus and God will have a wonderful reward in Heaven!

Good luck to you and I hope I was some what helpful to you!
God Bless you now and forever!

We always fine something or someone to blame, whether is its God or the Devil. If there is anyone to blame it is ourselves. Humanity has their free choice, and when things don't go the way they want it to they blame it on a higher being. Saying you can stop it because you have the power. In reality, If he did stop one man from harming another then he would be taking away humanities free will. Good and Evil in the world is caused by us, how come we don't thank God for all the good in the world, we tend to only look for a god when we are in trouble. Humans turn people against God, not Satan or Lucifer. Satan is just another scape goat humanity created to take the blame away from themselves.

That's a hard one to answer but I'll give it a go. I think people don't understand all the suffering in the world and they automatically want to blame God. God is all-knowing and loves us. He will be glorified in all things not just the good things. One of the promises (did you know there are like 8,000 promises in the Bible?) I cling to is Jeremiah 29:11-13. God has a plan for all of us and it is for our hope and future, not to harm us. I love the Lord and am thankful that I'm washed clean because of the blood Jesus shed for us. My hope and future is with God. When we do face trials of many kinds we should put our trust in Him. James 1:2-3- Consider it pure joy when you face trials of many kinds. God develops our character through this.
As far as Satan being blamed- what he does as the liar/deceiver that he is, is confuses us and tries to tell us that God doesn't love us or care for us. That is such a lie.
Hope this helps.

what turns people against god???
i believe people only use god as an excuse of the things they had realized is wrong. people blame god because they thought they have the worst life being lived here in the world. what they dont realized is that they are still lucky that they have a life to live and it's up to them how they would make the most out of it...
should we blame satan/ lucifer... why? it's only an excuse can i blame you if my life is a mess.. definitely not,,, i am the one who control my life. whatever the outcome of it , i am the only one responsible for it...

I don't think that people are ever necessarily against god. they just at times blame him for their sorry lot in life. There are just as many reasons out there to believe that there is no god, as there are to believe that he/she does exist. To look at god in a purely logical fashion, it makes little sense. Belief in God takes faith, and for some, it's difficult to have faith that there is something greater guiding life. Not all hardship is the result of the devil. Life isn't innately easy, and even those with faith in a higher power don't always have a simple time getting through the day.

Also, evil in the world is caused by man. There may be some force such as satan behind it, but all sin and hardship is caused primarily by man.

Just my thoughts.

Here is some food for thought. Take away any religion, try looking at the person. Human beings make decisions all on their own. Some may like to blame GOD or The DEVIL. or is that just a cop-out? People have a tendency to blame GOD when things don't go their way. That is a selfish thing. God is not here to full fill personal needs and Personal wishes. So when a person chooses to "turn their backs on God" there not turning their back on him/her, they are turning their backs on themselves. The solution ,in my opinion, is take responsibility for your own actions.

Maybe. I think that people help determine if their lives are crap.
Examples:

If you have no spare money and live in a shack with 8 kids and you love your kids and can put food on the table and are thankful for that, then your life isn't really crappy to you.

-If you have tons of money, lots of women (or men), everything you could want ... and you're miserable and bored and ungreatful, then your life is pretty much crap.

Gotta think of what is Good. Everyone has bad in their lives

God made the world and every other world, whatever God actually is... we can't know if we're alive.

The concepts of a god and of an anti-god i.e. Satan rose from traditions in the Middle East dating back to the beginnings of Zoroasterianism. While they made it easy for early man to understand the mysteries of life and of the human condition, we know them now for what they are: ancient mythes that have no credible evidence to validate them. As modern human beings, we live in a highly complex world and face extremely complicated problems. While it may be comforting to some to fall back upon the old mythes to explain the dilemmas they do not understand, it is hardly rational. And, it will prove highly ineffective in resolving any of the problems that the world presently faces.

No. If our lives are 'like crap', we should not worry about laying blame and worry about how we - ourselves - can rectify it.

I'm not aware of anyone here who has a hatred of God. The idea isn't even logical.

Satan/Lucifer/Beelzebub/Whatever are not causing evil in the world. That's strictly a human creation...

I'm not against God, but in many ways I am against Religion. Because of the fact that I am so vocal about my opposition to Religion, I am certain that hardcore Christians (the rote kind), construe my criticism as anti-God. This same situation could be the case for many people.

I view a relationship with God as something personal, and something unique to each individual. I also believe the Bible is literal, but I don't' think any of us are smart enough to know what it means. I think people use the Bible as a weapon more than as a tool to love.

The Christian Right gives Christianity and Religion a bad name. They say they worship Christ and follow his teachings, yet they throw verses at those who don't conform to their beliefs instead of following in Christ's footsteps of tolerance, forgiveness and kindness.

Hypocrisy was one of Christ's biggest concerns throughout the New Testament. Jesus fought hypocrisy in many places throughout his journeys. Yet, while Christ himself never mentioned homosexuality of any form, Christians choose this as their primary battle. Why not hypocrisy? That seemed to be something on Christ's agenda...
