I am sincerely sorry for the loss of your beloved pet. Believe me, I know how you feel right now. I had a twenty (yes, 20) year old Calico who also developed Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) and after much distress and long stays in the hospital with IV's attached I decided, on advice of the Vet, to "let her go in peace" and she was given an injection that allowed her to go "to sleep".
Men are not supposed to cry but...I did.
For other pet owners, especially those with cats, I can only advise that your pet be given exams and blood tests according to your Vet's schedule. The blood tests will indicate early signs of CRF where it can be treated in time before any Kidney damage can occur.
I took comfort in the fact that she had twenty good years with me and was well cared for, comfortable and happy....perhaps you can do the same.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved cat. Try to think of your pet with fond memories and remember how much joy that she brought into your lives during her time with you. I hope this helps to make you and your mom feel a little better.

Sorry for your loss, it's hard to deal with the loss of a loved one whether a mom or a cat.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know how badly it hurts. I lost a dog from cancer. I tried everything costing about 3000 dollars.
She died at home with me trying to save her. I've often wondered if I did the right thing.
