I read a question about 28 year old Guy being purseud by 16 year old Gal and most are telling him to "get ready for jail" Ignorant people..most states in the USA have something called "age of consent" its 16 in my state NO LIE ..get the facts before YOU sound like THE FOOL !

You are right, there is a thing called "age of consent", and here in NY it is 18. So don't be calling us ignorant fools, maybe you should get the facts yourself. Just because the "age of consent" is 16 where you live, doesn't mean that the "age of consent" is 16 in all states here in USA.
Here in NY, if a 28 yr old had sex with a 16 yr old, they would be going to jail.

I'm not naive but my state's age of consent is 18. And just because you are of age of consent, doesn't mean you can't call rape. Rape is rape and the courts will almost always side with the "young innocent victimized girl" despite how big of a slut she might be or what the "age of consent" is. So before accusing people of being naive you might take your own advice. Get the facts before YOU sould like the fool.

There are age limits to age of concent laws too. Most states it's 5 years. A 28 year old has no business having sex with a 16 year old, considering the possible consiquences.
What if it was your daughter?

in the us its still illegal without the PARENT AND THE CHILDS consent. In fact He can still go to jail with her consent at age 16= seriously. The only way around it if she claims to go idependant by going to court and making herself undependant of her guardians- legally making her an adult- however the problem with that is she would have to support herself 100% - living food etc. Maybe you should get the facts to you know. So yes It can be considered rape- even if it was consented from the child in question.

Guess what? The age of consent may be there, but you can bet it is very easy to get convictions handed down for it still. Just because the age is there, doesn't mean the courts, or juries, hold that up.

Just because they can do it when she is 16 does not make it right, it is laws like this that remind me of the old days when 16 was considered old to men that is sick, she is still an imature girl who is still in school, its like, lets make the age 16 so then it is just shy of child molestation but whatever to each man hes own

well in Ga, my friend whom was 22 at the time went to jail for 3 years for statutory rape for sleeping with a 16 year old girl. so call me a fool all you want i know this for a fact, at least down here in Ga, it's true

Maybe you are one of the naive ignorant people and in South Africa that age limit is older than 18 or else it is considered as child rape and molestation.

i'm not naive either...in my state age of concent IS 18!! and he's 28...thinking about sex with A CHILD!!! makes him a pervert in my book who will go to jail!! or at least get an *** kicking from her father!!
