Celery has "negative calories" That means you burn more calories eating celery than celery provides. Also celery prevents the build up of lactic acid. Lactic acid is what makes your muscles sore when you exercise. Carrots are full of fiber and Vitamin A and beta carotene, they are good for your liver and contain other goodies! I would snack on both! But choose the one you think taste better.

You know, I have heard several times that celery actually has negative calories....That is, it takes more calories to eat, than it has at all. I will say, though, it's nutritional value is far less than carrots, which are also very low in calories. Carrots are loaded with vitamin A, which is essential in a healthy diet for any age. Smoking is disgusting. You don't realize it, but the average person in society is looking at your like you are trash while you're smoking. Harsh, but true. I know, I'm an ex smoker of 6 years. I would go with carrots simply b/c i don't like celery that much. Just watch eating to many carrots b/c it can cause your skin to get an orangish tint to it after eating too many for a long period of time.

About healthier snacks, not only carrots, eat more vegetables and all fruits. Avoid junk foods and mainly Soda (if you are drinking). Take good care of your health.

The better snack would be celery. It has calories but it takes more calories to digest it that the celery has itself. so actually you lose a small amount of calories by eating it.

You could put a little peanut butter or cream cheese on the celery to change it up.

They're both pretty equal healthwise
Carrots improve eyesight and reduce the chances of cancer and heart disease.
Celery helps the kidney, reduces high blood pressure, has like 0 caliroies, and is acts as an antioxidant.

both....gum could be a good way to stop smoking...it keeps ur mouth busy, plus it helps with weight lost, because it has some weird thing that makes ur stomach think it's being fed...but that's getting off subject.
