Do bartenders only hit on girls for tips??

There's this guy bartender at this bar my friend and I go to and he always talks to me and last week was throwing orange wedges at me to get my attention. My friend asked if he was "single for my friend" and he said he was. Then when we were leaving he grabbed my hand and was like "see you next week?" and I was like "uh, yeah" he's so hot, but I'm sure he gets hit on all the time and vice versa so I'm just wondering if I should waste my time on him

Guy bartenders hit on women they want to sleep with. They think that women think bartenders are hot. They'll give the women free drinks, etc. The only "tip" they want is to tip her over the bed and ... He may not want a relationship, just want a quick bang. This often backfires as the women will end up coming to the bar all the time and he's trapped because he can't just get up and leave. Not to say that no male bartender has never met a woman customer and ended up with a long term relationship. But all of the single male bartenders I know just want to get laid. They all think they're Tom Cruise in "Cocktail".

women bartenders, the other hand, flirt with guys JUST for tips. They know men are stupid and will take any little shred of attention like a hungry dog. They'll smile at the guy, compliment him on his clothes, memorize his first name and use it all time time.. all for the tips. And guys, as stupid as we are, will fall for it even though we know better. We know the chances of this woman wanting to be with us and sleep with us and whatever are slim, but we'll think, "well, maybe this one is different, maybe this one is sincere...." HA! Men could go to a bar like Hogs and Honey or Coyote Ugly where the women are PAID to act flirtatious and we know it and we STILL think they are interested in just us and not any of the 5,000 other guys in the place. Hell, me can go to a strip club and believe the stripper is really interested in him and not that fat wad of bills in his pocket.

So to answer you question, yeah, he's probably interested in you, but not for anything long term.

I am sure all of that wasn't just for a tip. Even if he gets hit on all the time he is obviously doing the hitting this time around - must mean something - take a chance and find out.

Bartenders live off their tips man. She was probably just playing you for a good one. If you really think there was something more too it, watch her and see if she gives free drinks to other guys to get the same reaction.

Well i can tell you from experience, i used to flirt to get better tips, however, if you are a regular and he flirtss with you constantly, call him on it. Don't flirt, just straight up tell him you wanna go out with him or something, then you'll know.

i used to serve and would flirt to get better tips...but thats a tricky one, do you tip well? lol maybe he really is interested in you. Try not buying your drinks from him to see if he really is interested (he'll still talk to you) or write your number on a napkin and slip it to him when you hand him your money to pay for a drink!

Well it sure sounds like he is interested in you. Maybe he does get hit on but that does not mean he is totally interested in every woman he sees.
