You have to be blunt with the student and advise them you are not interested in them except in a teaching capacity. Everytime, and I do mean EVERY TIME they act inappropriately, you point this out and tell them it is causing problems. If they are too forward already, don't take any chances!! GO see your supervisor and tell them what is going on. What may seem innocent now could blow up in your face a week from now. Discuss it with other faculty and make sure all of your colleagues know what is going on in case a student you blew off makes some allegation against you. Hope this helps!! Good luck!!

Talk to the principle and see if he can change the students class and have him talk to the student and let them know it is inappropriate. That is what is wrong with society lack of communication gets us in trouble.

Keep an appropriate distance.

Don't talk to them about their personal lives, because they will misread your interest as being romantic. Especially don't talk about YOUR personal life.

And if you have to, make up a fiance.
