We put them over the ultrasound probes for transvaginal ultrasounds. That's probably their only use.

Condoms are used as a form of birth control. In other words to prevent pregnancy and STD's. People use them because they do not want to have children yet or catch something

Condoms were designed to prevent pregnancy. I believe that they came about roughly in the 17th-18th century.
In this day and age, they are now mostly used to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
They do not always work in either situation, so your best bet is to stay abstinent.

Condoms are worn on the penis to prevent the transmission of sperm to the woman. But, remember, the only sure way of preventing pregnancy and venereal diasese is to not have sex. (Particularly if you're not an adult)
