You know those Reese's Pieces cereal commercial where they always say "You had chocolate for breakfast?" as if the world is suddenly spinning out of control and everything turns upside down!
Well I say to them "Yes I did have chocolate for breakfast...and it was GOOD!" Now, my question is: Who's to tell us what we can or can't have for breakfast? I mean really, it's a free country right? We have the freedom to choose between cereal and ice cream right? Why do people make such a big deal about what we eat for breakfast? In fact, I just got done eating some raviolis and its only about 9:30 am. Please any opinions?

Thank you for agreeing with me, I just want to know why there are weird people who think you have to put a limit on everything. I say there are Infinitely many solutions to the question "What am I going to have for breakfast?"

Don't get me started on "junk food" if it was really bad for you, then they simply wouldn't make it! I wouldn't call it "junk food" I would call it snack food.

I'm not saying I eat Ice cream every morning right when I wake up but if I do it probably won't make my stomach upset. I'll eat anything I can find in the house, Chicken soup, raviolis, pizza rolls, bagel bites, Ice cream sandwiches, anything and usually it's a half hour to an hour after I wake up before I eat anything.

EXACTLY!! Why should anyone care what I choose to eat for breakfast? I am the one eating it...sheesh. I haven't had anything for breakfast today. It is 10:44am and I did just have a few sweetart gummy bug things. I like em, so I'm gonna Eat em!! What I really wanted to eat this morning was an egg roll. It sounded so good, but the chinese place doesn't open until 11am!
EAT, DRINK AND BE MERRY!!

Yes it is a free country, and there's nothing wrong with eating what you want, as long as you eat a balanced diet and don't eat too much junk food.a lot of people have eaten junk all their lives and are suffering the consequences only in later life

I concur, my mom says I can't eat ice cream for breakfast all the time. This is the first time I saw a post like this :)

cultural diversity sometimes restricts us in most things we do. my bf is a European and is used to eating cereals or bread in the morning. i'm Asian and i'm used to eating rice with viands that range from meat to fish to veggies. yes, in the morning!

here in Asia, we are not strict as to the kind of food you eat in the morning. most of us are used to eating rice 3x a day. but if anyone wants bread or cereal, it's perfectly ok, too.

the only reason why you cant have ice cream for breakfast so early in the day is because it might upset your stomach. the coldness of ice cream can somehow "shock" the linings of your empty stomach that's just coming out of "fast"-- no food since the time you slept. but if you can tolerate that, then by all means, go ahead.

i usually wake up late in the mornings so i eat brunch-- rice and meat/fish, salads and of course, dessert to make my day ok. dessert can be cakes or ice cream or ANYTHING i fancy that suits my budget as well.

i eat left over pasta. and if i have time, i even make pasta from scratch-- for breakfast or anytime of the day.

i only have one rule when it comes to food: eat in MODERATION and drink plenty of water to wash away all impurities from your body. moderation means not overdoing sugar, salt, fat, and yes, even fiber. anything in excess of what should be can harm you whether you eat them in the morning, afternoon, or at night.

People are always going to think they have the right to tell you what you can and can not eat. When and where you can do something and vis versa where and when you can do something. All I have to say is it's your life as long as it's not illegal or harming someone else go ahead and do whatever it is that you want too.
