It sounds like, mentally, that you are already there! A place, devoid of hope, peace, love, goodness, kindness, forgiveness, light and endless knowledge of all space and time . A place where you are suffering and see no end to it. A place where you are all alone and you have accepted that this is as good as it gets. A place where you think it is better than having to deal with the opposite of all that void. You are keeping yourself in this endless void by choosing to think the way you do. You can be a creature of hope, peace, love, goodness, kindness and forgiveness. You can be a seeker of the Light and wisdom and knowledge that surpasses all human understanding, but you are choosing not to. By turning your mind and heart away from the forgiveness that is offered freely, from the love and salvation that is, also, a free gift. So mentally, you are already in Hell. Eternal Heaven and Hell begin in this lifetime. You sound like you are on the right path, if what you say is true. Now all you have to do, is die. And someday, The Creator will restore your physical body to your spiritual body, judge you for your turning your back on Him and His Son, condemn you to a very real place called the Lake of Fire, and then you will have an eternity to ponder "Why did I want to be here?" Instead of "What should I do?"...to avoid this?
You have my sympathy! Simply cry out to Jesus, accept Him for who He says He is; God in the flesh. Tell Him that you believe He is alive and reigning in heaven. Ask Him for the forgiveness and mercy offered freely to all mankind, and for an end to your torment. Live your life on this planet, continually thanking Him for this gift that He paid for with His own earthly life. Continually thank Him for the power He has to raise your lifeless mortal body to an immortal one and that you will rest on this promise of his until the day you die and you see Him face to face. Study the object of your devotion. He will never leave you alone and He will always be there to answer all your questions.

There is no fiery burning hell; that's a manmade idea, not Almighty God's.
The long-taught idea of “hell” or “inferno” depends upon the doctrine of a human soul being something separate and distinct from the human body that cannot die; spiritual and invisible, something that we cannot feel with our sense of touch. Common sense tells us if that were so, the pain of fire could not be felt, as fire is an earthly element requiring the physical body to sense. Also, the Bible is very clear in stating that the soul is subject to death, saying: “The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.” (Ezekiel 18:4, 20)
Pagan religions are noted for teaching red-hot hells. The ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Phoenicians, Persians, Grecians and Hindus taught flaming hells. The Buddhists teach a hell wherein people cook and sizzle in blazing kettles. Is the Bible hell as hot as the pagans paint theirs? Here is the answer.
Hell corresponds to the Hebrew Sheol and the Greek Hades. It also says that hell comes from the English word helan, meaning “to conceal.” So the early meaning of the word “hell” carried no thought of any kind of heat. It merely meant “concealed.” We have found, too, that the original Hebrew word, usually translated “hell” in English Bibles, is Sheol. Now what does Sheol mean? It simply means “a hollow place.” So the original Hebrew word perfectly corresponds with the original or early meaning of the English word “hell.”
The vital question is, Did the inspired Hebrew Bible writers say that conscious life and red-hot activity exist in Sheol or hell? No, quite the opposite! Instead of blazing fire it is described as a “land of darkness.” (Job 10:21) Instead of a place of soul-chilling shrieks it is described as a place of “silence.” (Ps. 115:17) The Catholic Douay Bible, at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10, says: “The living know that they shall die, but the dead know nothing more. Neither have they a reward any more: for the memory of them is forgotten. Whatsoever thy hand is able to do, do it earnestly: for neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge, shall be in hell [Sheol, AS], whither thou art hastening.” So, since the “dead know nothing more,” or as the King James Version says, “the dead know not any thing,” it would be impossible for them to know conscious torment. And since there is no work in hell, how can there be activity, red-hot or otherwise?

Live just the way you're living now. I'm not Christian, but I've read the Bible cover-to-cover, and quite a bit of it is hardly relevant to the present day. We're all going to burn in hell the way we're living now, you don't have to change anything.

Sheez B are you sure? Excrutiating mind bending agony each and every waking moment? Go and slam your fingers in the door over and over again and see if you could deal with that pain every day all day! Get somebody to smack you in the shins with a baseball bat over and over again, and see if you could live with that kind of pain all day every day! Imagine being hungry and thirsty but never being able to eat or drink anything! If that appeals to you, then I don't know. I can't think of anybody really who would want to burn in hell for eternity. I'm not sure Satan really wants to be there!!
