You would be foolish not to use contraceptives ANY time you have sex, unless you are intentionally trying to get pregnant...and use condoms as well to help prevent STDs.
Why would you ask if it was "okay"? All one hears on TV, from adults, etc is "USE PROTECTION"...the idea that you would even ask, rather indicates you are not really ready to have sex. What's the hurry? It's not like it'll rust shut if ya don't use...wait until you are 100% sure you're ready for the emotional aspect, as well as any repercussions that could occur...even birth control and condoms are known to fail...

YES! not only is it OK, it should be mandatory. Use a condom, or get a prescription for birth control pills before you have sex. Condoms are better, because they also protect against STDs, and unless you know, absolutely, that this is both of your first times, you are at risk for catching an STD. (if you've known this guy for less than 6 months assume that he might be lying, I'm serious, it is your life here). Don't have sex without at least one of these things.

"mating", are you in a zoo or something? what ever happened to making love? anyway, yes, do use a contraceptive everytime you have sex and don't want to take the chance of becoming pregnant!

If you plan on having sex always use contraceptives. And if you are still scared then you need to wait. The best way to prevent pregnancy is not to have sex.

Absolutely, and if you don't want to get pregnant I would start taking the pill, beforehand. Be sure you are emotionally ready to take this step and don't be pressured into something you are not sure you want to do, yet. Good luck!

If your scared to get pregnant, then DON"T HAVE SEX!!!!
I got pregnant 2 times on birth control. condums break, and pills and shots aren't flawless. I know this for a fact!!!!

YES! Of course. Use it EVERY time. Trust me, you do not want a disease or unwanted pregnancy. Do yourself a favor, don't be stupid and be one of those people I know that didn't use birth control every single time. I know some people who are miserable because they had kids by accident. I also know 2 people who died from AIDS from unprotected sex. 4 of my friends have herpes.

It's more than okay, it's encouraged. In fact, you may even consider more than one, such as making him wear a condom & getting yourself on some form of birth control as well.

oh dear how old is this child.. of course use contraception.. hello!!!!!!!! do u want to end up with jigabu germs between your legs and pus following out. use condomsssssss please.. if possible wear 3 for your first time.
