I'm lesbian and live in New York. I'm in love with this girl that I meet on the internet that lives in California. We have never seen wach other before and we love each other. I would like to know if we would survive a long distance relationship?

yeah girl,it might work your distance relationship.taking my exemple,i have a girlfriend to.she is really at a longer distance from me and we really work it out together.and we both think the main reason of keeping still our friendship and love is that we are very in comunication and we really respect our freedom of hanging out with another people and so on.....we have been together for three years now....my girlfriend will come and visit me soon and i can t wait to see her...maybe that helps you to do something to get your girl to new york....have some fun...

Long distance relationships can work, but they are VERY difficult. Usually, in order to truly work, you need to have a very strong relationship before the separation. In your case, you know only a very small part of your internet friend. You know only the part she is willing/able to show over the two dimensional screen. In order to have a true "partner" relationship, you have to get together so you can really learn each other and be able to experience life together. You need to learn what her touch feels like instead of just seeing her words. If you are satisfied with a "friend" relationship, then I think you can have that long distance without as much trouble. I wish you two the very best.

My dear, I think anything is possible. However, a long distance relationship is twice as hard as a normal relationship. The biggest part of the relationship is communication, making sure that both parties are sated.

The possibility of a long term relationship are slim if your whole relationship was built over the Internet but if you both really put your heart to it nothing is impossible. BEST OF LUCK

I think if you really love her then you could be worlds apart and it would work out, give it a try, if it doesn't work out then at least you can say you tried. Good luck
