to convert music files on your PC from WMA format to MP3 format using windows media player?

You will not be able to do that using Windows Media Player. You can only do it in the other way around, because the aim for the WMP is that everyone turn the mp3 files into wma so everybody uses the windows format, which by the way the files have a smaller size. But if you really want to turn your wma files into MP3 you can do it by using a ripping program called "WMA To MP3 Encoder 6.12". You can download it from the link below. Hope it works.

Windows Media Player has only option to convert MP3 to WMA.. u'll reqd to use the software, wma to mp3 converter, available on www.freewarefiles.com

I dont think you can. At least I couldnt. There are conversion programs out there. havent tried it but Winnamp might be a good one.
