iI have a little pouch at the bottom and when i do crunches they are always effective for my upper but i see no change in my lower

Instead of starting from the floor and crunching up, start from a seated position and crunch down. Just ever so slightly start to lie back and you'll feel it in your lowers. Try it!

You may want to turn your legs to each side as your life them up while doing crunches. This will twist your abs, and hopefully will work on those pouch.

By the way, best way to burn fats is not to do isolated exercise, but to do aerobatic like jogging, swimming etc.
