I am trying to determine if Dr's in the USA are overpaid in comparison to other countries. That is the point of my question.

This is a difficult question to answer for several reasons. One, the different specialties of physicians can make significantly different salaries. For example, the average Family Physician in the US makes about 140K per year and the average Interventional Radiologist makes 600K per year. Another problem with answering this question is that non-physician salaries differ by locale. Rural areas tend to make much less than more Urban/Suburban areas. I think the last figure I have heard (this is not fact but rather from what I remember hearing) is that the average US household has an average income of 25-35K (which may be from one or two workers). I hope this helps.

Doctors in US make alot. But depending on what area you are in. Small town docs may only make about 150k, where big city docs may make 1mil in a large practace. The same small town the average salary for non docs may be 20k, Big city, 40k
