When getting rid of fleas in dogs you need to do the environment as well. If you can a pesticide 'bomb' or room fogger is the best way. You and your dogs go out for a couple of hours and when you come back your house will be fumigated and all fleas dead. If you think this is too extreme wash all bedding and spray the environment with a solution of tea tree oil and water (can be used on the dog as well) which will help kill fleas. Do the dogs and environment on the same day and the problem should be under control. For long term solution use dried garlic flakes in the food daily and this will prevent the fleas from returning. Garlic is also a breath freshener for dogs if you can believe it........

First you must make sure you have gotten rid of the fleas in your house and the area where they relieve themselves. This is vital in any lasting treatment. Then treat the dogs. Tea tree oil works but its a smelly treatment.

There is a garlic product that you can put in your dog's food. I think it's garlic oil based. It really is the best non-toxic way to rid your dog of fleas.
