I know we do just because we tend to buy more eggs than we can use in a few days. If you are only going to have the eggs one or two days than it's probably acceptable, but if you have them for a week without being refrigerated, then I would say not such a good idea.

You had better refrigerate them. The eggs in other nations are, for the most part, fresh. our eggs have been kept in refrigeration since production, and have been kept refrigerated for a month before they are purchased. To keep the eggs safe, the cartons have a "sell by" date. You should consume the eggs within 10 days of purchase.
Salmonella! Yuk.

Actually, in Australia we keep our eggs in the fridge as well, as far as I know. Eggs will go bad if you don't refrigerate them.

In this country we like to save our eggs but in other countries the people probably eat their eggs right when they get them

yes eggs should be refrigerated.... refrigeration will make them keep longer...
unrefrigerated eggs will last a few weeks in cool climates
refrigerated they will last up to twice as long.
in warmer climates eggs should be refrigerated all the time.

Very interesting, I didn't know this. How long can you keep them before they go bad?
