It takes between 5 to 15 minutes but that all depends on the size of the wound and the platelet count of that person. It will also depend on if they are taking anything like aspirin (an anti-coagulant)

It only takes a few minuets, think about when u get a cut or a scratch--within a few minuets a clot is formed and it stops bleeding
