As long as you don't come to my house and proclaim that,. because I am not of the Mormon faith, that I will burn in hell forever.
I had a couple of Mormon Missionaries come to my house and baldly state that, as if it was fact. How can I respect you when you refuse to respect others?
You do NOT have GodsHousekeeping Seal of Approval, so stop being so overweeingly arrogant about being "saved", OK?

It doesn't come from the church per se, but from the families. Hatred is a learned quality. Children don't know it until they see it and it just builds from generation to generation. Of course, these are Christian people so they will keep their non-Christian ways out of the church's sight. People will sit in church and say "I'm not a prejudice person, I'm a Christian.", then they will go home and act like a prejudice person. (Please don't think I am saying this about just Catholics- it's really any branch of faith that this can happen). The point is, hatred is learned. If I child is told from a young age that a Mormon, for instance, is an enemy, they will become just that, and for no reason other than they told as such.
Have you ever seen two people fight over a person of the opposite sex? Have you seen how emotional and physical those fights can get? Now switch the two people fighting into, say, Catholic and Mormon, each with deep faith in their religion and the person they were fighting over is God. That fight is going to get a lot nastier because there is so much more at stake than just a boyfriend or girlfriend. Religious wars are nothing but petty differenecs magnified a thousand times over.
And no, I do not hate you.

Mormons have a bad rap, but I don't judge a person until I know them. Some churches drill it into the minds of the young ones that mormons are bad, when really they're just different. I was fortunate that the church I attend is very tolerant and doesnt slander other religions... Ironically I attend a Catholic Church.

By "PPL" I assume you mean "Popular".
Popular religions mostly include the main three: Christianity, Islam and Judaism. These religions have been in constant struggle against one another (and in the case of Judaism against its host cultures) since their inceptions.
First, we look at Judaism, which is a branch-off from Zoarastrianism. Zoarastre was the first person to proclaim a single god-figure (as opposed to the god pantheons of Egypt, Greece, Rome, etc.). Later on, a group of nomads picked up the ideas, mixed it with a very liberal helping of Vedic and Egyptian religious theory and *poof* Judaism is born.
But it's this idea of "One God and ONLY One" that is causing all the problems. If there is only one, and I worship that one then whoever you worship must, by default, be less. And a lesser god is no god at all and, therefore, must be a demon. So the idea of One God uplifts that one but demonizes all others and thus, demonizes all those who worship others.
Once a person is reduced to a demon (heathen, savage, pagan, etc.) it becomes even more easy to look at them as less, to take from them, to mistreat them, to subjugate them and, ultimately, to kill them.
All monotheistic religions (those believing in the divinity of only one deity at a time) are warlike religions. Look at Modern day Isreal. After years of oppression and subjugation you would think they would have learned a lesson about the sanctitiy of human life. Instead, they kill and maime at will. When Palestinians throw rocks, they launch missiles. When a suicide bomber walks into their plaza, they send tanks across the border. Is this the action of a godly people? Is this the responce of righteousness? If they are "chosen" then it is their place to respond to violence with Love.
But it is against the very nature of a monotheistic religion to practice love and peace. They have set the entire world up as thier adversaries. How can there be peace when you make the entire world your enemy? How can there be peace when you openly declare that everyone else is not just wrong but villanious and worthy of being crushed if they do not submit to the will of God (which, of course, THEY were "chosen" to administer)?
That is why popular religions wage war and kill and will continue to wage war and kill. It is left to us polytheists, those who view the world as full of many gods and each of them equal and each of their followers no better or worse than the next, to pick up the pieces and continue on, long after these super-religions have blown the world to shreds.

Each denomination has errors within it. It is easier to see the falts in others than in ourselves (or our denomination). Just like Jesus' parable of the men with the speck in one eye while the other had a beam in his.
I agree that we all should love each other. But I am not in favor of everyone just getting together to form one big happy church. When this tends to happen some of the truth that each group has tends to be lost, while most of the errors tent to survive, making the new church worst then the rest. We need to love Jesus and the Bible and to seek to do all that they want.
God be with you.

Catholic, Mormon, Baptist, Vanilla, Strawberry......they are all "flavors of the Bible".
The problem is that you are all taught if your belief is not believed your way then "someones" going to hell.
This applies to different "Bible based" beliefs too. They dont hate you, but they think your doing it wrong, just like you think they are doing wrong.
I am a Wiccan, we use "Witchcraft" as a spiritual practice for harmony with nature, I think we're all doing it right, as long as we find a way to connect with God. (or Goddess)
they don't "Hate" you.....THEY ALL HATE ME

>>>Cathlic are taught to hate mormons <<<
I've been Catholic (on and off) all my life, and never once was I ever taught to hate Mormons or anyone else.
What are you basing your claim on? No offense, but I think it's ridiculous.

I don't believe one can hate someone if you never loved them first. I also believe that all religious beliefs are wrong, and they all impact me in a negative way. Your beliefs are particularly unfounded and doubted, so it makes sense for other religious groups to dislike your beliefs.
