I'm 19 yrs old, 5'2, and one hundred and 49 pounds. About two weeks ago I was 153 1/2 pounds. I have cut down on my food intake and I go to the gym about 3 times a week. At the gym I get on the eleptical for about 20 minutes and then I work the rest of my body on the other machines. I know that at the rate I am going it is healthy the way I am losing. I just want to increase the pounds lost and I don't know what else I can do. My goal is get down to 129 pounds. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

You are doing the right things. Do not try to lose more than 2 pounds per week, or you will be losing more than just fat and hurting your long-term health and metabolism. One effect of this is that you will gain the weight back when you let up some.

Add a bit of strength training to build up a little muscle and increase your basal metabolism. Take it easy at 1-2 pounds per week - slow down on the weight loss if anything.

Try setting short term goals between now and your final goal. For example, 5 pounds per month is a nice rate to lose at, and you can feel accomplishment and stay motivated along the way. At that rate, you'll be at your goal in October, and you have another 70 years to enjoy it.

Keep doing what you're doing! You're SO on the right track! To be able to lose weight in a way that you'll keep it off, aim to lose no more than 2 pounds a week. Much more than that and once you start eating normally, it'll come right back and then some. Make sure you're eating about 1500 calories a day - of the right foods - and keep excercising regularly! (Consuming fewer than 1500 calories right now will send your body into starvation mode and it'll hold onto anything you eat, and you'll gain weight.)

Good for you! Keep going!! =)

One thing always about loosing weight is the number of calories in versus the number of calories out....so one option would be to write down everything you have eaten and then how many calories you burn by exercising (most machines tell this). Think of loosing weight like a check book; if you need to gain you put in extra cash (calories) versus what is taken out (burned). And vice versa.

Homeopathic Treatment :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !
