come 25 i want to be married and then i want to start having kids....

It's different for everyone but this is how I feel: I would say late twenties, maybe early thirties. If I met the perfect guy for me (which I think I have) I would be ready to settle down now and I am 31. When my boyfriend discusses our future, I don't feel uneasy anymore, I feel like I am ready for this part of my life and although I don't want to rush anything, I am looking forward to it now.
Also, I think it helped that I went out with a lot of different guys in my twenties and also did a lot of "single" things- like dancing and partying with the girls.
It seems these days people get married later than they used to- when my mom got married (in the early 70's) she was right out of college and that seemed to be the "thing to do". Nowadays there are so many more single people in their late 20's and early to mid thirties.

If its a matter of choice I think a woman would settle down and start thinking about kids when she feels secure in herself and her relationship. I know thats whats happened with me! And I just turned 40......so. it's down to the individual.
