You know what I'm talking about.
Those women that get little dogs and take them
to special shops and dress them up like babies.
Take them everywhere and baby talk to them.
It kinda scares me for some reason.

Yes. It is very disturbing and can you imagine how embarrassing it is for the dog!?!? Here's Fido, trying to look all macho in front of the lady poodles (not an easy feat for a male poodle anyway), when some woman (or man) dresses him up in a little tutu with a spangled hat. Poor Fido! He'll never get a date.

Yes it does disturb me. But its not just the dressing up and baby talk in the special doggie on my chest carrier, it bugs me more for what it does to the dog. Dogs are dogs. No matter what we as humans want to believe they are not nor ever will be humans. Unfortunately dogs that are treated as humans tend to become aggresive both towards humans and other dogs. Or they will become extremely fearful. This is not always the case, so don't go yelling profanity at me already. Some dogs are able to recieve a healthy balance from thier owners, a balance of time to be a dog (ex.sniffing other dogs, exercise, running, swimming, leg lifting and most important basic dog training) and time to be a "baby" (ex. dressing up, being carried around, etc). Even though I personally think it's dumb, as long as the dog can still have time to "be a dog" I guess I can't say anything.
However a lot of them do get aggressive or fearful. Once those things happen it can sometimes be very difficult to turn around. An aggresive dog is an unhappy dog. How happy would you be if you had to spend every second of your life being ready to jump out and attack any hand or object that comes near you?? Not very huh? 1.)Dogs need exercise! Even little chihuahuas need a lot more than most humans think.
2.)Dogs need rules. They need to know what they can and can not do. (How many doggie lives have been cut short simply because it was never taught basic obedience like COME or STAY and now they are furry little ROADKILL)
3.) Dogs need to be socialized with other people and other dogs. They also need to experience loud noises, cows, the neighbors for sale sign, etc.
4.) Dogs do not need little leather coats and rhinestone collars. All that crap is just to sell to gullible humans. They need an unbreakable collar with tags and a leash.
5.) I need to shut up I am rambling sorry guys.
But yeah It's stupid.

Those dogs are in for a rude shock if the woman has an actual baby someday.

The dog is a baby substitute, and yes, it is a little disturbing to see.

I totally know what you are saying. It does disturb me to see those dogs being treated like a baby. If I were one of those dogs, I would love the attention, but after a while, I might get sick of it.

People who are obsessed with anything seem weird to others. Collecting beer bottle caps and sticking them up all over the house is just as weird. As long as they're not hurting anyone? Live and let live.

it can be scary, but u never kno the case. but the whole dressing up thing is annoying-dogs hate it! u should only put it on if its brutally cold. i think it just matters that they love there dogs and take goood care of them. but i hate when celebrities use them as an assecories. dogs are dogs, even tho we love them-sometimes- as children

I cured my mother of dressing up her toy poodle by dressing up one of my larger german shepherds to make the point on how silly the dogs look dressed up like babies. LOL

TOTALLY!!!! I was actually looking at doggie clothes out of boredom yesterday and they have little raincoats, jogging suits, and even PAJAMAS!!!! I can understand if your dog is like family, like your kid, but some people REALLY take it too far!!

They scare me.
