I don't get mad when my boyfriend leaves the toilet seat up I just put it down and do my own business.
Why do men think that all women are angry at men for leaving toilet seats up?

If you've ever gone to the bathroom late at night or early in the morning when you are tired, you know that looking at the toilet isn't something you do with a conscious effort. Most women haven't had to worry about the toilet seat being up in their houses while they were growing up, so they are not accustomed to looking for it. Most men I know have grown up in homes where they had to put the seat down or face the wrath of their mother :-)
The combination of these two habits makes it much more common for women to not pay attention to the location to the toilet seat until they've fallen into the toilet....
It doesn't bother me much though - I just put the seat down and continue on my merry way :-)

It is unsanitary to leave a toilet seat up for various reasons. First of all, when you flush it and it's open, the spray can go as far as ten feet, covering your seat, sink, toothbrushes, anything else you may have lying around, with feces and urine and whatever else is growing in the toilet between uses and cleaning. Second, how would you like it if something you used, like your toothbrush/hairbrush, fell into the toilet because the seat was left up?? And third, if God wanted women to walk around with wet a$$es, he would have made us all ducks.
We have a steadfast rule at our house...seat goes down, lid and all, no matter who used it, as soon as you are done! It ain't much to ask and is a good habit to have.
And in return I ask you, why do men always pi$$ all over the seat, the pedistal and the floor and then expect a woman to clean it up? You must like it when we wreek of your pee because our pant legs or skirt got caught in the downflow that hit the floor. Maybe practicing your aim would help...it isn't like the hole is too small.

Women probably view the "correct" position for the toilet seat as "down" because if a woman accidentally sits on a toilet with the seat "up", her bottom falls down into the water. And that's yucky. Ask the women you know if they've ever had that experience.

Actually I have no idea why most women get mad. XD Whats the difference, when the toilet seat is up or down just as long as the inside of the toilet is clean and FLUSHED!
I don't complain.
lol dude you have point!

OK, first of all, you will never figure them out. Its IMPOSSIBLE! They change their minds all the time and what was right yesterday will be wrong today. I believe they are all mental and need to be on some kind of drug to fix it, but that's just me. I've accepted that we will never figure them out and so should you.
I used to think that women should just put the seat up for us, and get used to putting it down for them, but that idea never flew and probably never will for anyone...
The answer to the toilet seat is simple. Whoever uses the toilet...PUT BOTH LIDS DOWN! That way, no matter who has to use it next will have to lift something. Its even for everybody. And nobody's @ss gets wet!

lol..i'm not sure where or how, or why this whole thing started.i think alot of us go on it's design ,since the way the seats are made, it looks better with the seat down.i can't speak for all women, but have you ever woken up in the middle of the night,go to pee, & end up sitting IN the toilet?? not alot of fun, & a rude awakening..i know, turn the lights on first..i have lifted the seat for hubby sometimes if he was going in right on my way out..lol..i guess until they make toilets that are uniquely made for one or the other sex,the toilet seat up vs,the seat down is going to rage on...great question!

When I was in college, living in a dorm, my roomates bf spent the night in our room. He got up during the night to use the bathroom & didn't put the seat down. I ever so unfortunately needed the facility after him. Guess who almost fell in at 3 am?
I'll tell you it was better than a pot of coffee to wake me up. The shock is unbelievable! THAT'S WHY WOMEN GET MAD WHEN THE SEAT IS LEFT UP!

Cuz women always thing the seat is gonna be down. And by instinct will sit down RIGHT away EVEN though the seat is up. They are mad cuz they just sat in water.

1st, women are just plain lazy and selfish. If they didn't wait til the last minute to go, the toilet seat up wouldn't be a problem.
2nd, we let em get away with it. I say, "If you want the seat down, Imma leave it down... and piss all over the damn thing!" We gotta take a stand b4 they take over the world!
Can't live with em', can't live without em'
