Its too soon to know if you got what you needed. If God gave it to you, that must be what you needed.
It is the lottery that gives $. Trust me, prayer does not help in this regard.

God gives us all good things..
he gives us talent to sing, play an instrument, to solve problems.. etc..
he gives us blessings when we do as he has commanded... and sometimes those blessings fall upon those around us too.. even if they are not so righteous.
