I have had it for about a week, it doesn't feel like muscle or anything torn. I don't feel it all the time, it just comes and goes, but it hurts quite a bit There is like a mark on the spot on the skin that seems to be getting bigger and spreading, but slowly. The pain feels like it's deep inside my leg. Any ideas what it could be?

A sudden pain might be a symptom of a low blood sugar episode. The mark on the spot on the skin sounds like something I have had no experience with.

You may want to request a doctor to do an ultrasound to rule out a growth of some sort.

More important than pain is the spreading spot on skin. You must see a doctor. For all we know, it may be a bruise from a injury which occurred which you did not notice at the time. Usually the bruise spreads, change color before fading away

It could be many things, how did it start? Were you working out before or did you have a long plane flight?

It could just be a simple bruise from moving around in your sleep or you bumped something and didn't feel it at the time.

If you have been traveling on a long flight it could be a very bad cramp or a blood clot.

If you have sometimes blurred vision and you are over weight it could be the first sign of diabetes.

see your doctor ASAP.

It may just be some bruising but it could also be something more serious, like a blood clot so it's best to talk to a doctor :)
