no it wont take 6 hours to burn a dvd.whatever may the quality of your writer it wont take 6 hours . the writer takes maximum 1 hour if its of second quality.i think the problem may be in your lens of the writer.if the lens is fault then it is very difficult to write the dvd.

No!!! something is wrong when i burn DVD's only onl take a few minutes to actually burn the info... disc might be stuck try removing it and using a new DVD!!!

It depends on your computer and the DVD, but 6 hours does seem a bit long....

no way man, 6 hours is too much.
what you didn't say is if windows had any errors, or if after 6 hours that DVD was burned OK...
however, ask a friend who knows computers to come and check your system.

I have the original DVD-RAM drive...and it only takes me 1 hour to burn a "full" DVD (4.3gbs) to a DVD-R format...and that's at the rate of (1/1,350)....So I'd say NO...this is not right...something wrong there...

no,while most dvd's can be burned 16x max ,if you burned a dvd even at 4x,it should not take that long

I don't think one having a DVD drive on his P1 or P2 machine. However if one does have a configuration like this, it may happen.
