Have you thought about lap band surgery? It's not as invasive or serious a surgery as gastric bypass. The surgery takes about 20 minutes, and recovery time is only a couple of days. It's completely adjustable and removable. I had it done in April - I wasn't morbidly obese, but needed to lose about 50 lbs. It's been a slow process - I've lost 20 lbs so far. But I know having the band will keep me from regaining weight like I have always done in the past. I don't know where you live, but there are a couple of international specialists in that type of surgery in Houston, TX.

Get tested for any thyroid problems that might exist, then begin to eat healthy and exercise. There are many types of programs out there. You have to find the one that works for you. I lost 100 pounds 14 years ago and have kept it off. The first seven years I did step aerobics, treadmill and walking outside. Now the past seven years I am literally addicted to Taebo. Go to Taebo.com. They have a club that you join for 9 bucks a month and they give you meal plans as well as other help 24/7. Good luck. You can do it.

First I would not "diet", I wouldn't even allow that word to describe losing weight!
You want to change your eating style, your life style, your mentality. As in "I can".....
I can walk a mile everyday then work up to 5 miles.
I will be full after eating a reasonable amount of food, I will eat a balanced meal. And I will eat 3 meals with a fruit snack, only. No late night snacking....
Cut your sugars down...no Soda pops...water and plenty of it, remember true weight lose and muscle build up takes time and isn't an overnight thing...be diligent, be strong!

Find a physical activity, sport or exercise that you really enjoy doing. Try out everything you can think of until you figure out which one is for you. I fell in love with kung fu and tai chi, so now I work out all the time not because I'm worried about weight, but because I love it. The being thin is a pleasant side effect.

the more you weigh the faster you lose.
try just moving your legs up and down while lying in front of the TV
i have a friend who practically lives on energy drinks, that worked for her.
Einstein is wrong. They will only do gastric bypass if you weigh like, over 400 or something. Like if you cannot move. It is permanent (unless you're randy jackson) so they want to do it only in cases when the people cannot function. They will do lyposuction, but you have to be careful and get the best doctor to do that, because otherwise it looks weird.

Homeopathic Treatment :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

See your doctor first so he or she can get you on the right track. See a nutrionist to help you with which foods are good to eat and which to avoid. Start slow with the exercising; walk, stationary bike, stepper. Start 15 minutes then start adding minutes after a week. Stay away from the fried foods, fast foods like McDonalds. Eat more fruits and vegetables and drink water
