You could tell them you will say a prayer for a happy healthy baby and an easy delivery and recovery for her. Also that the place won't be the same without them, and she will be missed.

Is this her first? Is $$$ being collected for a gift? If "yes" to both than just give what you can afford and say "Congrats". Once the baby is born, I usually find a small gift and a box of diapers usually is a welcome gift!

If you can afford it, a gift certificate to Babies-R-Us would be nice, otherwise, your best wishes will suffice.
