True. The Bible tells us that we will be persecuted. So, by these people putting us down, it is simply verifying our faith. Let them say what they will. We, know the Truth. God bless you.

I think people are afraid of what they dont understand.
They do not see how someone can believe in what they
cannot see and equate it with stupidity or ignorancy or not
thinking for oneself. Also for people who do not want
certain rules and restrictions it seems a logical choice.
This country was founded on christianity, and the of the
first colonial states 6 of them had a state church. Upon
signing the declaration of independence George Washington
read a letter that thanked god for the victory and all
the things that he had given them. Most people
ignore our christian roots and want to get
away from them as soon as possible.

They embrace the founders of the country
while ignoring their christian beliefs. It kinda confuses
me too but i think that we confuse them.

We must face facts that we bash each other quite
equally, who pushed first isnt important. I get just
as angry at the hell fire and brimstone christians
as I do at the viscious attacks from darwinists.
Not all subjects can be left alone i understand this
but we should for the most part let each other be.
Its sad that we must be so condescending to eachother
But then again I am a Latter Day Saint ( mormon )
and I try to follow a different code of conduct.

Here is what the Word of God says...

Luke 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

2Peter 3:3-4 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

We are born of sin. We as Christians are also a light shining in the darkness. Many people do not like the light because it shines on the sin that they commit.

We are hated and scoffed and it will get worse because we are living in the last days. Read about it in Matthew 24, Luke 21.

This is paranoia. Christianity in the world is still the most highly-respected religion... that you even make the claim shows that you either have a sensitive spot or you're blinded from reality.

Everyone _should_ be afraid of those elements of Christianity that have terrorised the world for 2000 years - not all aspects of Christianity, but those aspects. I do not think you are stupid. Misled, maybe, but not stupid. Hell, I don't even know you.

Christians are the largest population. Therefore, we are the target. Just as the US is the strongest country, the terrorists need to attack us. It goes with the territory. Jesus would probably want to befriend whomever ridiculed him. Some people can't conceive of that concept. Keep up the faith and be strong! :)

i don't know the exact verse, but the Bible says that we are to consider it great joy when we are persecuted, because our reward is in Heaven.

there were a ton of prophecies in the Bible that we would be made fun of and ridiculed, so they are just doing what God said they would. It's funny that they are fulfilling the prophecies that they deny is true.
