Usually if a dog is blind in one eye that eye will have a cloudy milky whiteness to it.. But not always. What you can do to test his vision is to gain his full attention and seat yourself in front of him.. Spread your arms so your hands fall somewhere in the space behind his eyes on both sides. Wave your hand on the side you think he can still see from, note his reaction. When he's looking back at you again, wave the hand on the side you think he can't see... Note his reaction. If he reacted to the good side and doesn't on the other, its possible his vision is limited or gone. I would also suggest a trip to your vet, incase its something that may be possibly treated.

Cover 1 eye and let him walk if he bumps into anything he is blind in the uncovered eye if he doesn't reverse eyes and try again. Make sure you are with the dog so he doesn't get hurt walking into something dangerous. It's either that or take him to a Veterinarian.

Stick something over the eye you think is ok and then if your dog walks into the wall it's blind in that eye.

Put a parrot on his shoulder....if the dog lifts one leg and the parrot starts shouting 'pieces of eight'! then your dog is blind in one eye....and probably a pirate.

yes!
you need to hold it's favourite toy to its extreme right below it's left line of vision and c if it see's it...then it's not blind . repeat with the left side.
it's v.important you do this without speaking or making noise otherwise it will figure out and turn it's head and spoil the experiment.
on second thoughts take him to a doctor, because you will not be able to work it out.

You may see signs, like he fails to notice activity on one side of his head. If you suspect your dog has a vision problem, take him to the vet. It could be a symptom of an underlying problem like a tumor.

You can get the vet to examine the eye and do a few tests; you need to get the vet to check its not a tumour. Good luck.
