I've been thinking in going to somewhere else apart from Bangkok when i'm there with my friends. Do you think Kanchanaburi is a good place to visit? I know it's not a tourist place, but heard there's a Death Railway Bridge to get to see. Also wanna know if it's difficult to get a accommodation there or not. Thanks in advance.

Kanchanaburi is a tourist spot for those who want to know about the Japanese atrocities on the Allied POWs. However, besides the Death Railway and the Bridge over River Kwai, you can even ride on a train across the bridge.

In Saiyoke, there are waterfalls and natural parks to visit. Even an old ruin at Muang Sing. Ask around.

As for accommodation, have a look at www.asiarooms.com and take your pick from the hotels and reviews available there. Nice will be Pung Waan Resort and Spa. Try their spa stay package it will be worthwhile.

You will easily find somewhere when you get there. Don't worry.
I would advise you to spend as little time in Bangkok as possible.
Enjoy.
