We don't need your tears or your prayers. We are happy with our lives. We are not empty-minded or empty-hearted people who hate god or had a bad experience with religion.

We have decided to live our lives without gods, religion, superstitions or belief in anything supernatural.

Thanks, and have great days!

Stacy R: The Bible tells us to pray for those who are lost. God Bless. I am sorry that some people have soured religion for you.

Read my question. Nobody soured religion for me. I just came to the decision not to believe in god.

Levi: I don't get the hopeless attitude of the athiest - if this is the only life and it has no meaning then what is your point of living?

You are very wrong. We have much hope for the world and making it a better place. We have to, because we know that some god out there isn't going to do it for us. We have realistic goals for the world. Look at Warren Buffett. He is an atheist and he donated billions of dollars to an organization that looks to cure disease, end poverty, and improve education.

Because you believe in nothing.
Athiests have no fundamental principals to live by.
Faith is the key to a fulfilling life.
Ever felt like you were an outsider?
ie:
A Christian has a used car for sale and he tells you it has just been checked out and is in great condition and he will stand by his word.

The Athiest across the street has the same car and tells the same person the exact same data.

Who would you trust?
The man that lives by the Word or from a man that has decided to live without it?

I can't help but burst your bubble. May you find the way.

So if God does exist and he does let people live eternally seperated from him if they choose it, you won't have a problem with that? I don't get the hopeless attitude of the athiest - if this is the only life and it has no meaning then what is your point of living? I hear you say "to enjoy myself or raise a family etc etc" but that doesn't always work for those living in abject poverty or war-torn nations. It may be good for you but what do you tell the kid whose family is slaughtered, is living in less than a mud hut and has no food or water? Survival of the fittest? Where's your heart there?

Levi you say

"I don't get the hopeless attitude of the athiest - if this is the only life and it has no meaning then what is your point of living? I hear you say "to enjoy myself or raise a family etc etc" but that doesn't always work for those living in abject poverty or war-torn nations. It may be good for you but what do you tell the kid whose family is slaughtered, is living in less than a mud hut and has no food or water? Survival of the fittest? Where's your heart there? "

This is why we must in this life do something to help these people. It is all to easy for a rich christian nation to say "ah but at least the starving people in Africa will have a nice afterlife to look forward to." ******** !!!!!!!!

This is just an all to easy way for rich christian countries to ease the pangs of guilt that it is their unfair economic policies that keep these countries poor.

Sure we throw them a few bits of charity now and then to ease our consciences.

This life is the only life these people have. Let's make it good for them while they are alive.

Where is your heart ???????????

Notice something about the source. If you look at a lot of the answers you got - there's no original thought. Just quotations and cliches.

I don't know if that answers it, but it tells you where certain people are coming from. They think if they get pats on the back from their friends (just for mouthing a point of view) that's all it takes to be a good person. They can't see it themselves because they can't think for themselves.

It's like a Minabird.

By denying God, you show hatred for God. We pray for you to find the truth before it is too late. With all of the information available, it is just tragic when someone misses finding God. That is why you get the tears and the prayers. Besides, if you are right and there is no God why would you get offended when people talk to themselves and wish you well?(basic description of prayer if there is no God, there is one but used for exampple)

So we meet again. Why do you keep asking questions? Are you trying to reassure yourself, because the only reassurance you will truly get at yahoo answers is that God loves you even if you do not believe in him. It is your right as a human being to choose not to believe and I am not tryin to push mine on you. But you say you are happy with your life up there and I noticed you have over 150 questions asked mostly referring to religion and th bible. Curious?

I, for one, appreciate atheists more than agnostics. At least you have the intellectual honesty to make a choice.

You are certainly right atheists, as a whole, are not empty-minded or empty-hearted people. Unfortunately, I find most to be illogical people.

I would recommend "The Journey" by Peter Kreeft. If you are intellectually honest you will enjoy it.

Remember that tears sometimes come from excessive teeth-grinding...

But the positive outlook was a nice thing to read. Not a chance in hell it'll be heard, but hey... sometimes effort is its own reward...
