During the course of arousal and the act of intercourse the human body, both male and female, produce vaginal and seminal fluids, body oils, sweat and pheromones. These fluids and hormones can produce a smell, though usually the smell isn't unpleasant. Most women would probably describe the smell as salty, sweaty, or musky. The smell is similar to baking soda.
After intercourse or masturbation it is wise to shower and clean your genitals to reduce offending odors that may develop. If at anytime you, or your partner, are producing fluids that smell foul, are thick and clumpy, or painful you should see a physician. It's also wise to refrain from using soap, vaginal sprays or douche to clean or freshen your genitals, especially for females as the genitals have a very delicate PH balance and are self cleaning. Introducing harsh cleaning agents may cause irritation, dryness and eventually result in a yeast infection. Good luck and blessings, Prana

yes it does give off a smell...
and yes, it is definately different than a womans smell. THe smell is a personal thing, different from one person to the other, the same as that is with women...

Many men have a definite smell in that area, different than a woman's. Semen has its own separate smell also.

Not that I've noticed... but if the guy is uncircumised and doesn't look after himself, there may be a smell.
