While in the process of getting dreads what do you do in the meantime before your hair is nappy enough?

Locs are not something you have to prep your hair to have. Just have a pro single-strand or double-strand twist your hair (depending on the texture of your hair and the desired "size" of your locs).

While your hair is growing, use a "Waterless Shampoo" to keep your hair smelling fresh and KEEP YOUR HANDS OUT OF YOUR HAIR!

Fight the urge to twist your hair. It only needs twisting every 4-6 weeks (too much twisting thins the lock and will make it fall off eventually). Your hair will lock on its own and in its own time.

That doesn't make sense because your hair does not have to be nappy to get dreds so you don't have to do anything but sit there picking your nose while they lock your hair!
In my opinion they are just nasty but do what you want and that is comin from a Jamaican.

don't wash it....and twist it between your fingers to make the dreads......

it's gross........and smells.....
