No diet is complete without a change in eating habits and exercising. What is working for me right now:
I had to give up bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, sugar, and beef. I eat chicken breast, turkey breasts, and fish (no catfish)/crabs (no shrimp), no fried foods.
I eat three meals a day that consists of a piece of fruit, a vegetable, and a meat. I jog a minimum of 3 miles a day, a do a combination of a walk/jog of 6 miles on Saturdays and Sundays. I started with a slow walk, gradually building myself up for the running. I drink a minimum of 64 ozs (8 glasses) of water a day. I hate water, but with the workouts, my body craves it. I average 10 to 12 pounds a month. I'm down 40.
I cheat on Saturdays and I have what I want, sometimes that includes sweats. See source information below.
There is a lot to give up, but you have to ask yourself how badly do you want it.

Cut out as much fat from your diet as possible. Read the labels. No more fried foods. Eat more veggies, all you want. Drink lots of water, ice cold.
And exercise, even if it's just a walk around the block.

East 6 small meals per day, exercise, walk bike, swim etc. anything cardio. Drink plenty of water or diet green tea. Avoid fast food and sodas.

well, i tried that low carb diet for about a week and a half and i lost 5 pounds. but the thing is that it is super hard to do. also doing some sort of cardio for more than 30 min. after the 30 min mark is when your body starts to burn the fat. hope this helps. take care.
